Make the Read 20 Promise
Promoting childhood literacy is as easy as:
Adults – Children who are read with from birth, at least 20 minutes every day, are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% of their class in reading.
Books – By the age of 2, children who are read to regularly comprehend more, have larger vocabularies, and exhibit higher cognitive skills.
Children – A child’s ability to read directly impacts his or her future opportunities for success in all aspects of life, from education and job readiness to self-esteem and quality of life.
We’re counting our promises – with a goal of 100,000 commitments for success! Please help us reach our goal by filling out the form below letting us know that you promise to read with your child 20 minutes per day, and we’ll send you a spiffy reminder card that you can even use as a bookmark. (And we promise – we won’t sell your info or use your name and address for any other purpose.)
